Programs
Younger Campers
Our traditional resident camp program is designed for youth from nine to twelve years old. These children share cabins with five to six other campers and a staff member. Mornings are spent participating in activities as a cabin group. Afternoons may include special "all camp" events, swimming at Echo Lake or the opportunity for the campers to choose areas of special interest such as a unique craft activity, touch rugby, folk dancing or other surprises created by the staff. The evenings continue the camp experience with campfires, games and a cookout complete with smores.

Teens
Ranger Program
Specifically designed for campers from 13 to 15 year olds. It is a chance for them to be "campers" one last time. The program includes many of the great Copper Cannon activities campers have come to expect with a few new ones thrown in. The week culminates with an afternoon "eco-challenge" adventure race with friendly competition focusing on outdoor living skills. These activities may include archery, fire building, climbing, and some surprises. There is always plenty of time to hang out with your new friends.

Counselor in Training
It is for 16 year olds or campers entering their junior year that want to train to become junior counselors, and ultimately staff members. It is not required that the participant be a previous Copper Cannon camper. Copper Cannon has created a two-week Counselor in Training (CIT) Program. The program is a leadership development one which includes plenty of time to do all those great Copper Cannon activities. Space is limited.
Junior Counselor
If you are 17 and have completed a CIT program (or have equivalent experience) this could be your ticket to join the Copper Cannon staff as a Junior Counselor. This is a 3-week volunteer position where you will live in a cabin with campers working under the guidance of another staff member. It is a great way to make a positive difference in the lives of young campers. For additional information or to request an application packet, contact Copper Cannon.
Webster Group Home
Each year for the past 30 years, the Webster House Group Home in Manchester, NH has used the Center for a week long program in late summer. Over 30 teenagers, ages 13-17, as well as staff members use Copper Cannon as a base camp for exploring the White Mountains region. Days are spent on educational and recreational field trips, and evenings are spent on activities at the Center.
